Site Updates
The Mel Ferrer Fan Appreciation Site was first uploaded in November of 2007 and consisted for a time only as lists of credits. Gradually links, information, photos and credits are being added. The following are significant changes to pages or directories:

 

August 25 2009		Special memories of Mel Ferrer on his birthday today. He would have been 92.
		A photo page on Ondine is up in the Gallery with just a few of the many photos to come.
June 19 2009		There's a new photo page on Mark Young Ferrer, Mel's fourth child, who turned 65 today.
June 8 2009		A fun page in the gallery - Cover Boy Mel includes all known magazine covers with Mel Ferrer.
June 2 2009		We lost Mel Ferrer one year ago today and a few items have been added to honor him.
	1	Mel's first directing assignment was Girl of the Limberlost which is now in the Films Directory.
	2	There's a new entry for a formal international  Wedding Reception thrown for Mel and Lisa.
	3	There's an additional photo on the 1971 Cannes Festival entry in Public Appearances.
	4	A new La Jolla photo page is up on Mel's favorite play - The Importance of Being Ernest
	5	A new page is up on The Children's Hour wrap party in Public Appearances..
May 10 2009		Entering the Audrey era at last, there's a new page up for Ondine in the Theater Directory.
April 5 2009		Some new behind the scenes photos have been added to Lili in the Gallery.
April 4 2009		A biography of Mel's mother Irené O'Donohue Ferrer has been added.
March 23 2009		A biography on Mel's older brother Dr. José Ferrer has been added.
March 17 2009	1	A biography on Mel's older sister Dr. Irené Ferrer has been added.
	2	And there are updates as well as added links to the bio of his younger sister Terry.
March 14 2009	1	There's a new biography page on Mel's father Dr. José Maria Ferrer.
February 18 2009	1	There's a new picture page on Mel's widow Lisa. Today would have been their 38th anniversary.
	2	Two more early plays have been added: Camille and Kind Lady.
February 1 2009	1	The Theater Directory has been rearranged to begin coverage of Mel Ferrer's Early Credits.
	2	The two earliest plays have added annotations: You Never Know and Everywhere I Roam.
	3	Though there are no changes, the Strange Fruit annotation has been moved to this new directory.
January 7 2009	1	There's a new picture page up for Mel and his first (and third) wife Frances in the gallery.
December 28 2008	1	Happy Holidays! The 1954 film Knights of the Round Table has been added.
	2	And a Knights Picture Page has been started in the gallery. Much more to come here.
	3	Struggling with how to arrange the biography section, but there is a new Family page now.
	4	Two new articles have been added that helped with the family page: Hello June 18, 1988..
	5	And an early 1950 interview from Colliers, dated July 29th.
November 12 2008	1	An overview of Mel's theatrical experiences at Princeton University is now up in Theater.
	2	Most of the 7 plays have annotations as well, including Pastorale and Talk of theTown.
	3	There a new write up on Peer Gynt, the 1936 play in which Mel met his first wife.
	4	And another for The Importance of Being Ernest in which Mel starred as Algernon Moncreiff.
	5	Most importantly is Awhile to Work, Mel's awarding winning play from 1937.
	6	And to end his two years at Princeton, the huge production of The Tempest.
	7	There's also a short annotation on The Cape Playhouse where Mel worked summers as a boy.
	8	A new portrait of Mel from 1945 has been added to Strange Fruit.
	9	That photo and another has been added to the Strange Fruit Gallery as well.
November 7 2008	1	There's a new page up for Mel's 1953 movie Saadia in the films directory.
	2	And to supplement that, there's a new photo page for Saadia in the Gallery as well.
November 3 2008	1	A new page has been added for the La Jolla production of Strike a Match in Theater.
	2	There are several updates to the Strike a Match on tour as well.
	3	And to supplement these, there's the start of a Strike a Match picture page in the gallery.
October 22 2008	1	A 1957 benefit for Berlin's Refugee Children is now in Personal Appearances.
	2	And in the same directory, the 1963 L.A. Airport arrival for My Fair Lady has also been added.
October 20 2008	1	Another radio play starring Mel Ferrer has been added - 1951's The Hound of Heaven.
	2	The David Awards page has four new photos and an updated annotation.
October 11 2008	1	One more radio play starring Mel Ferrer has been added - Exhibit A from 1950.
October 10 2008	1	A page has been added for the 1950 radio play The Willow and I.
	2	And another for the 1951 radio play She Wore a Yellow Ribbon.
September 25 2008	1	Three new public appearances are up: first The Stork Club in 1949.
	2	And then a party for the movie The Greatest Show on Earth in 1951.
	3	And one for Marlene Dietrich's Stage Show in Chicago in 1952.
	4	There's also an additional photo on the Cocoanut Grove visit in 1952.
September 21 2008	1	A new page has been created for the 1952 play Strike a Match in the Theater directory.
	2	A new page is up for a 1952 visit to see the Ballet Russe in the Appearances directory.
	3	Another page just for fun in the gallery: Mel's Favorite Sport: Tennis.
	4	The page on the 1955 Lido Nightclub has new pictures and a corrected annotation.
	5	A new page is up for the Rancho Notorious luncheon held when the movie finished filming.
	6	The page on Marlene Dietrich's 21 Party has a new picture and added information.
September 20 2008	1	A page has been created for the 1951 La Jolla play The Voice of the Turtle
	2	There are some new pictures on the Dancing Mel page
	3	A new page is up for the 1956 Academy Awards in the Public Appearances directory.
	4	In that same directory, there's a new page for a 1952 visit to the Cocoanut Grove.
September 19 2008	1	The The La Jolla Playhouse:an Overview page has been rewritten and expanded.
	2	There's a new page on the La Jolla production of Eurydice in Theater.
September 12 2008		The The La Jolla Theatre Credits page in the Theater directory is greatly expanded.
September 11 2008	1	A new page on The Actors Company is in the Theater directory.
	2	A photo page on Mel directing Our Town is up in the Gallery.
September 9 2008	1	A new page in Appearances has been added called European Bachelor Trip.
	2	And to supplement this Swedish visit, a photo page has also been added in the Gallery.
September 7 2008	1	New photos with Ava Gardner have been added to the Dancing Mel page in the Gallery.
	2	The domain name is completely in place now; any errors should be corrected.
September 2 2008	1	A page of photos from La Jolla's Ring Around the Moon is now up in the Gallery.
	2	Mel's Theatre Arts article about La Jolla is up in the writings directory.
	3	Please note that this site has just been moved to a new server. Until the domain name has been transferred properly some sidebars won't work correctly.
September 1 2008	1	An overview of the La Jolla Playhouse is now up in the Theater Directory.
	2	And two accompanying pages, a La Jolla Playhouse Credits page.
	3	As well as a La Jolla Playhouse Photos page in the Gallery. More to come here.
August 30 2008		A second Dancing Mel page in the gallery now includes photos from films.
August 25 2008		Mel Ferrer would have turned 91 today, so to celebrate in a small way:
	1	A page on Mel Ferrer's 30th Birthday Party is now in public appearances.
	2	A page on Mel Ferrer's 38th Birthday Party has been created as well.
	3	And just for fun a page called Dancing Mel has been started in the photo gallery.
August 17 2008		The Scaramouche Picture Page in the gallery is now updated and complete.
August 10 2008	1	The main page has been redesigned with perhaps more changes to come.
	2	A new page on the photos used there is now in the gallery under Front Page Photos
	3	A new directory within the Photo Gallery has been added called Special Collections
	4	The Screen Directors Guild Luncheon of 1950 has been added to Public Appearances
	5	In the same directory there's a new page for a 1955 visit to the Lido Nightclub in Paris.
July 18 2008	1	A new page has been created for the 1945 play Strange Fruit.
	2	There's also a new page of photos in the Strange Fruit Photo Gallery
July 13 2008	1	Tito's Hats, Mel Ferrer's 1940 children's book has been added to writings.
	2	And it's 1970 rewrite, Going Places, Seeing People has also been added
	3	There's a new page for Vendetta, the Howard Hughes film from 1950.
July 12 2008	1	A new page has been created for The Secret Fury, a 1950 directorial credit
	2	A new credit page has been created for Films Directed by Mel Ferrer
	3	A 1949 Downbeat article related to The Secret Fury has been added to Articles
	4	Peggy Lee's Opening at Ciro's has been added to Personal Appearances
