David di Donatello Awards
Rome, Italy
March 11 1964

The David di Donatello Award (also known as The David Award) is Italy's highest film award. Audrey Hepburn and Mel Ferrer attended the ceremony in 1964 when Audrey accepted for her film "My Fair Lady." The couple were honored together along with other luminaries at a reception that night hosted by Italy's President Segni. Gina Lollobrigida can be seen next to Audrey in the middle photo below, while the photo on the right below was taken from the cover of Oggi Magazine. Mel's film "The Longest Day" had won the award two years before.
